Dentists Near Sylacauga, AL

Michelle joined our dental team in 2021. She has worked in the dental field for over 20 years. She loves meeting people, building relationships, and being in a Christian filled, team based environment. Michelle obtained her BSBA from Auburn University in Montgomery and is CPR Certified. From Hollins, AL and she now resides there with her husband and 3 girls. She loves spending time with her family, loves traveling, and spending time with her church family.

Joany joined our dental team over 20 years ago. She really enjoys being able to go out into the community to share the smiles of our office. She enjoys talking with people and sharing the goodness of a great smile. Joany and her husband, Dr. Redmond, have three kids, two grandsons, and two grand-dogs. When she isn’t busy at the dental office, you can usually find her doing yard work, sewing, going to church, playing music, traveling, and spending quality time with the grandbabies.

Wanda has been a member of our dental team since 1994 with a dental career covering 46 years! She loves building long-lasting relationships with patients and works hard each day to create a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Helping each person maximize their dental insurance is her favorite part of the job. She attended UAB for her education and is also certified in CPR. Her hobbies outside of work include spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and watching movies.

Morgan joined our dental team in 2021. She loves helping patients improve their smile. Morgan works with patients helping them achieve any necessary financing. Morgan is a University of Montevallo alum and is CPR, AED and First Aid Certified. Morgan lives in Sylacauga, Alabama with her firefighter husband, daughter, and son. Morgan loves camping, swimming, kayaking, riding horses, and spending time with her family. She loves to travel and has been to more than 40 states and 4 countries.

Sarah joined our dental team in 2016. Her career in the dental field covers six years, and she actually helps design the dental crowns made here! A person’s smile is such an important feature, and she really enjoys being able to improve it alongside Dr. Redmond. Originally from Clay County, Sarah now resides in Oxford, AL and is married to her high school sweetheart. Outside of work, she spends her free time baking sweets and singing and dancing. Her other hobbies include singing and dancing.

Summer joined our dental team in 2023 and has been a wonderful part of our Southern Smiles family ever since. Originally from Westville, Florida, she now proudly calls Sylacauga home. Outside of the office, Summer loves spending time with her family, especially her three children, Sophia, Lennon, and Tatum, who mean the world to her. She enjoys traveling, camping, and swimming and making memories with the people she loves most. Summer is passionate about growing in her career and is excited to continue expanding her knowledge and learning more about all things dental!

Takiesh joined our dental team in 2023. She has worked in the dental field for over 20 years. She loves working with people and being in a team-based environment. She loves spending time with her family.

Sarah lives in Alpine, Alabama, with her husband, Michael, and their two youngest children. She enjoys working alongside Dr. Sumrall and especially loves building meaningful relationships with her patients. Outside of the office, Sarah loves spending time with her family, relaxing at the beach, and visiting her oldest daughter in Georgia. She enjoys making memories with the people she loves and is grateful for the opportunity to care for and connect with patients each day.

Chasity joined our team in 2021 and has proudly served the Sylacauga community as a dental hygienist for 31 years. What she enjoys most about her career is the lasting friendships she builds and the trust she develops with her patients.
Chasity attended UAB for her dental hygiene education and infiltration license and is also certified in Advanced CPR. Originally from Hollins, she has been married to her high school sweetheart for 32 years.
Outside of the office, Chasity’s greatest joy is being a mother and Mimi. When she’s not caring for patients, she loves spending time at home on the farm surrounded by family and friends.

Kayla has been a part of our dental team since 2020 and has worked in dentistry since 2017. She completed her Associates in Dental Hygiene at Wallace State Community College, followed by her Bachelor’s in Biology (Pre-Dentistry) from Auburn University in Montgomery. Today, what she enjoys the most about her work is being able to help patients achieve the smile they want while also alleviating any anxiety they feel about coming to the dentist’s office. She also loves that the entire staff feels just like family!

Myra has been with our dental since 2012 and has a dental career that spans 37 years! She really enjoys helping patients maintain good oral hygiene over the years. Seeing them achieve the smile they want is always a wonderful experience! After first attending Nunnelley State Technical College, she received her dental education from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and is also certified in CPR. Outside of working hours, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and watching movies on the Hallmark channel.

Tracy joined our team in 2021, bringing with her more than 27 years of experience in the dental field. She attended UAB for her dental hygiene education and infiltration license and is also certified in Advanced CPR.
Originally from Clay County, Tracy continues to call it home, where she lives with her husband. Her greatest joy and accomplishment is being a mother and Nonna.
When she’s not at work, Tracy loves spending time with family and friends and enjoying the peaceful life at her farmhouse in the country. Tracy is also incredibly creative, and we love seeing her beautiful decorating skills throughout the office!

Jamell has been a member of our team for over 30 years and has been in the dental profession for over 35 years. She enjoys being able to provide patients with the best quality care for the health of their teeth and gums and showing patients how to improve their oral health. Jamell studied dental hygiene and received her license at the UAB Dental Hygiene Program. She is from Sylacauga and is married to her sweetheart Jeff. When she is not busy at work, Jamell enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking and enjoying God’s beautiful creations.

Alysia joined our team in 2025 and has quickly become a vibrant and valued part of our Southern Smiles family. Originally born in Texas and raised in Georgia, she now proudly calls Sylacauga home. Outside of the office, Alysia enjoys baking and cooking and, most importantly, loves being a mom to her four beautiful children. She brings a warm, energetic personality to our team and is excited to continue learning, growing, and discovering more about the world of dentistry.
